All of the fitness specialties are offered through one-on-one, buddy sessions or small group training.
Personal Training: For goals ranging from beefing up to slimming down, our programs are designed for the safety and effectiveness of each clients needs. Personal training programs are individualized, planned, and structured around the client’s specific goals and preferences.
Sports-Specific Training: Whether you’re an athlete trying to set yourself apart from the crowd or a weekend warrior training for recreation or fun; the exercise selection will be based on movements that mimic movements and systems used in competition. This program will improve the skills related to balance, agility, coordination, speed, reactivity, and power that will improve your ability to perform on and off the field.
Youth Training: Due to the sedentary lifestyle of so many youth today, millions are at risk of developing degenerative diseases in their adulthood. The number of overweight boys and girls in this country has doubled in the past two decades. The growing bodies of children need special programming to guard against injury and overexertion. Programming for children is generally based around instruction, form, weight-loss, and sports-conditioning.
Fitness Classes: Perrin-PT is in association with Arlington Group Fitness and Personal Training. Generally, classes occur weekly. Our programs are also offered in several DC area gyms. Contact us to find out more.
Body Composition Analysis: There is no way to know where you’re going without knowing where you currently stand. Body composition measures the relative percentages of fat-free and fat mass. It is important to know your body composition to determine a reasonable body-weight goal and to develop a safe and effective exercise program. This service is provided free with any personal training package, but can also be purchased as a stand alone service.
Nutrition Coaching: For the most part, we already know what we should and should not be eating, even though it becomes an everyday struggle to “fit in” healthy meals. It is important for us to understand that we shouldn’t try to “find” the time to eat right – we must make the time. We will help provide the knowledge, practice, and planning to set goals and overcome barriers to proper nutrition.
